In Your Community

Student volunteering is a good way to get involved in the local community. It is an opportunity to contribute your time and skills to the area that you live in and it is also a good way of getting to know your neighbours.

The Students' Unions work with the local Council and other partners to provide volunteering opportunities in your community. For example:

  • Multicultural project

Student volunteers from various cultural backgrounds delivering fun-packed informative sessions. at local schools.

  • RAG

Student volunteers running various events to raise money for local and national charities.

  • Mentoring

Student volunteers supporting secondary school pupils who may be having difficulties with their studies.

  • Voluntary hours at local charities

Running activity sessions and helping out with events at local charities.
