In Your Community

Student in the CommunityStudent volunteering is a good way to get involved in the local community. It is an opportunity to contribute your time and skills to the area that you live in and it is also a good way of getting to know your neighbours.

The Students' Unions work with the local Council and other partners to provide volunteering opportunities in your community. For example:

Multicultural project

Student volunteers from various cultural backgrounds delivering fun-packed informative sessions. at local schools.

RAG

Student volunteers running various events to raise money for local and national charities.

Mentoring

Student volunteers supporting secondary school pupils who may be having difficulties with their studies.

Voluntary hours at local charities

Running activity sessions and helping out with events at local charities.
