Living in Bath

Photo of Roman BathsBath is one of England's most beautiful places to live.  It is unique, with its hot springs, the Roman Baths, a splendid Abbey and Georgian architecture.

The city has a variety of theatres, museums, and other cultural and sporting venues.  It is a major tourism centre and attracts over 1 million staying visitors and 3.8 million day visitors to the city each year.  There are two universities and several schools and colleges. There is a large service sector, a growing information and communication technologies and creative industries, providing employment for the population of Bath and the surrounding area.

Bath is a relatively small city, so if you choose to live outside of the City centre, you can still enjoy the benefits of easy access into the centre and well served surround suburbs.  The website offers information about the student areas in Bath.  To find out more click on the area where you would like to live.

Travelling around the city is also relatively easy.  First Bus  is the main bus operator in the city.  The train station is on the Great Western line offering the Intercity service to London within 2 hours.
