Message from Avon & Somerset Constabulary

Avon and Somerset Police are prepared for the possibility of disorder following events in other parts of the country. Police will respond quickly and robustly to any potential disorder as we have demonstrated during our swift intervention in Bristol overnight.

Residents in Bath and North East Somerset should not be unduly worried about disorder in their community. We know these acts are committed by a small criminal minority intent on causing trouble. The vast majority of the community do not support the action of these individuals and we ask that anyone aware of planned disorder reports it to us.
